goose liver from a goose that has been force fed lots of food to make it expand. Very controversial and widely considered inhumane.

Cruelty or motivation?
“Oh, for fuck’s sake, you call that eating?! My grandmother could eat more than that and she’s been tits up since 1971! COME ONNNNN!”

Seriously. Truffle pate de foie gras is one of the most delicious things I’ve ever stuffed in my facehole. Why must cruelty be so damned yummy?

I’ve never had it myself but know it’s supposed to be extremely rich and fatty. A restaurant in Montreal (Joe Beef) is known for their “double-down”, like the KFC sandwich, except instead of two fried chicken pieces sandwiching bacon and cheese, they use two pieces of foie gras which sandwiches bacon, cheddar, a homemade mayo, and I think there's even chicken skin in there somewhere. Every time I read/see/hear about it, I feel like my arteries are solidifying.

I tried some and didn’t like it. :o( Am I missing something? Is random French pop-up eatery foie gras better or worse than the foie gras everybody loves? I just didn’t get the appeal, or the texture.
(Also, Rally Chicken is still a chicken.)
